The Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam regularly hosts workshops for its students in a variety of performing arts forms by qualified Indian and international guest teachers. The Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam looks forward to sharing the expertise and experience, which our guest teachers bring in, with others. Guest workshops will be announced on our Home Page. Acrobatics & aerial silk

Rebekka completed her studies in physical theater at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland. This is Rebekka’s third time at the k Gurukulam as a guest teacher of acrobatics and her specialty: aerial silk. Rebekka works as a freelance actor and director in different classical and physical/circus projects and has realized projects on her own.

Acrobatics & juggling

Hannes completed his studies in physical theater at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland. This is his first time at the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam where he supports Rebekka in teaching acrobatics and juggling. Like Rebekka, Hannes works as an actor and director in various classical and physical/circus projects.

Sue teaches animation at Bennington College, Vermont, USA. She has been documenting the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam, the daily life of its students, their performances and some of the annual festivals of the Kattaikkuttu Sangam since 2005. Sue is part of the crew of our latest collaborative production Karnatic Kattaikkuttu where she is responsible for the light and set design.

Craig is a professional storyteller and has an M.A. in Gender and Media Studies from the University of Sussex, UK. Since 2007 he has visited the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam every year. Over the years he has been working with different groups of students and different age groups teaching them the sounds of English and the wonders that lie in the stories he embarks upon together with them.
