What previous volunteers said about their volunteer experience

Volunteers of all ages have come to the Kattaikkuttu Sangam from around the world. Many of them were attracted to working with children and young people — the students of the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam — to share their knowledge of the arts, education and care. Others contributed their expertise to strengthening our financial and organisational management. Most recently, we have had several volunteers assisting us in developing our sustainable farming project

Our alumni volunteers have become an enthusiastic support base world-wide for Kattaikkuttu and the vision and mission of the Sangam. For many a stay at the school has changed their lives and sometimes their career decisions.

Find out how our American Indian Foundation's volunteer Tess Romansky adapts to the hot soil of Tamil Nadu to help us plan and realize an organic garden and fruit forestf and make it part of the school curriculum:

During 2019-2020 we had a team of 5 Young India Fellows of Ashoka University who helped us develop a sustainable business plan that will facilitate the transition of the Sangam from school to knowledge center.
