Karna’s Eyes

Fundraising for the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam

Follow Karna on his world-wide travels in support of a future generation of young Kattaikkuttu performers

We are excited to see how our alumni volunteers are being inspired by Karna’s Eyes, devising different ways and creative means to raise funds for the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam. Half-way into the campaign they have now raised almost half of the target amount of Euro 25.000. Thank you so much for your efforts and your continued passion for the school and its students.

Wearing Karna’s mask, many times volunteer Olive Supple-Still cycled from Liverpool to London with her friend Will. They raised 1000 pounds in support of the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam.

Karna was in Canada and will travel on to the USA. In between he will make a brief appearance at Theatre Nisha’s new production The Trojan Women in Chennai on April 26.

For those of you near Manchester in the UK: Don’t miss Karna at the Charity Yoga Class: Chilled Sunday Flow on June 16 with master-teacher and alumni volunteer Hebe Reilly. The event will be hosted by Shanthi Yoga Manchester and Waterside Leisure Club.

We look forward to other unique fund raising actions over the summer, including an all-night Shakespeare performance organised by alumni volunteer Katie Norman. You can follow Karna’s adventures here.

In anticipation of Karnatic Kattaikkuttu: Sold out show at Kalakshetra and an incredible experience for all of us, yet for the time being this was the last performance. Let’ see what will happen in the future!
