LISTEN HERE TO ELOY SPEAKING ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

This is a 2½-day residential workshop for those interested in exploring acting in the English language. The workshop covers:

• Imagination & sense of play

• Listening & responding

• Movement & rhythm

• Improvisation & spontaneity

• Approach to text & performance

The combination of these elements allows each participant to experience and understand further the fundamentals of acting on stage through the English language. The weekend aims to support actors in honing their craft whilst providing practical tools that can be applied throughout the creative world, including film.

Dates: Friday December 22, 2 pm to Sunday December 24, 4 pm

Venue: Auditorium of the Kattaikkuttu Sangam, 36 Punjarasantankal Village near Kanchipuram

Fee: Rs. 7,500 – this includes accommodation on our beautiful campus (shared double room) and home-cooked food. Early bird registration Rs. 7,000/ (before 1 December 2023); Non-residential workshop fee: Rs. 4,000.

We need a minimum of 10 participants to ensure that the workshop is on.

Your facilitators

  • Olivia Valler-Feltham

    Olivia Valler-Feltham is an English director, teacher and performer. Olivia graduated from The University of Leeds with a BA in Theatre and Performance. She trained for a year at the prestigious University of Illinois, Chicago. Whilst completing her Acting training (MA) at London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Olivia performed in many productions both classical and contemporary. After completing her training she continued to develop her craft supporting new writing and performing in London fringe projects on both screen and stage. Over the past five years she has trained actors and directed shows at the Cours Florent Paris, where she was head of the first year acting in English facilitating workshops for performers at all levels.

  • Eloy Verstraeten

    Eloy Verstraeten is a Belgian actor, director and teacher who trained both in English and French. After starting his training in Paris at the Cours Florent, he continued developing his craft, gaining a Masters in Acting at Mountview Academy of theatre Arts in London. He has worked on stage and screen for the last 10 years between Paris, Brussels and London as well as teaching acting to teenagers and adults in Paris. Eloy also facilitates workshops in Public Speaking and Communication for those who seek to combat stage fright and find ease in speaking in a corporate setting or in everyday life.
